About the Role:
We are looking for a Manager of Vendor Risk Management to join our Risk department. In this role, you will partner closely with internal stakeholders in the different stages of onboarding, managing, and terminating various vendors. We are looking for someone who can lead a team in quality and effective vendor management while finding ways to improve and streamline.


What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with onboarding new vendors including performing risk assessments, diligence, and direct follow-up with vendors
  • Work closely with business stakeholders including Legal, Compliance, Product, Operations, and Information Security teams on vendor contracting, onboarding, oversight, and engagement termination
  • Conduct risk-based due diligence on third parties and document results, as required. This may include a review of the vendor’s control environment as it relates to the services provided, financial condition, experience and reputation, operational capability, technology and systems architecture, and information security program
  • Prioritize and manage timely completion of business requests, vendor reviews and follow-ups to third parties
  • Perform ongoing, risk-based oversight for high risk third parties
  • Manage team to ensure timely and quality execution of diligence, onboarding and oversight activities
  • Drive resolution of diligence and monitoring findings to remediation, when needed


What We Look For:

  • 3-5 years of third party vendor management experience
  • Financial services industry experience, including with regulatory requirements relating to third party risk management
  • Able to take direction and ownership of very detailed and complex processes
  • Strong project management, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex and sensitive issues to internal and external audiences in a clear and persuasive manner
  • Prior people management experience
  • Prior experience with managing third party risk related to default servicing and/or call center operations a plus
  • Prior security risk management experience a plus
  • Prior experience in fintech a plus

The compensation range of this position in San Francisco, CA is USD $110,000-$155,000 annually plus equity and benefits. Within this range, an individual's base pay will be dependent on a variety of factors, including without limitation, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
