Uplift is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Fraud Investigator to help fight against fraud. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to conduct prompt, thorough, and intricate investigations concerning suspected fraud. Additionally, they should have a comprehensive knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and regulations.

What you will do and achieve

  • Investigate and analyze potential fraud cases in a timely manner and meet predetermined SLAs (productivity targets) and other quality standards
  • Leverage appropriate and varying external and internal tools and techniques to dive deep into investigation issues using data (preferred but not required: SQL skill to pull data from raw sources)
  • Contribute to special projects within the team from time to time to improve our processes
  • Communicate effectively both in verbal and written form on all investigative matters
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the organization
  • Maintain strict confidentiality

Who you are

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar
  • 1-2+ years work experience in fraud, preferably at a payments or financial industry
  • Strong background on fraud in general and able to think critically
  • Comfortable with case management tools and familiar with the workflows in general
  • Comfortable leveraging internal raw data in your investigations in addition to external tools from fraud vendors
  • Familiar with compliance requirements, especially around OFAC, AML/BSA, and SAR
  • Excellent writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Ability to think critically and come up with creative solutions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
