As the Senior Manager, Finance Transformation, you will oversee the strategic Finance Transformation roadmap, collaborating with senior Accounting leadership and other cross-functional partners to define goals and implement solutions that streamline our accounting operations and drive efficiencies in our processes.
You will serve as the primary contact between Accounting and other teams, translating accounting needs and creating solutions for operational issues that arise. This is a high-impact role that requires a process-oriented mindset and a passion for exploring new technologies that can leverage AI and automation to bridge the gap between technical accounting requirements and cutting-edge solutions.
What you will do
Take responsibility for the Finance Transformation roadmap; work closely with senior Accounting leadership, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to establish semi-annual transformation goals and objectives.
Lead and manage transformation projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Serve as the liaison between Accounting, IT, and other cross functional partners to translate accounting requirements and troubleshoot system and process issues that may arise.
Conduct stakeholder interviews to fully understand current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Identify ways to leverage AI and automation across existing systems and processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience.
Proactively keep up to date on industry trends and emerging finance technology and make recommendations for potential implementation at Turo.
Maintain project cadence by delivering project plans, status trackers, and other key project deliverables, often in partnership with other key stakeholders.
Develop and manage budgets for finance technology initiatives with a focus on cost-effectiveness and ROI.
Create and apply change management strategies for effective adoption of new processes and technologies.
Design and facilitate training sessions for employees to help them comprehend and adjust to process improvement changes.
Your Profile
Demonstrated experience of leading successful transformation initiatives including system implementations and enhancements.
Accounting background required; CPA preferred.
A proven process-oriented mindset with exceptional analytical skills, enabling identification of root causes and implementation of effective solutions.
Solid understanding of core business processes with prior hands-on experience (procure-to-pay, record-to-report, order-to-cash, hire-to-retire).
Agile project management and experience working with project management tools such as Jira and Asana is a plus.
Proven expertise in collaborating with diverse stakeholders, balancing multiple agendas and priorities, and effectively conveying complex information across various functions.
Ability to shift between business-focused conversations with a financial leader to a technology-focused conversation with an IT team.
Ability to analyze and assess the adequacy of internal controls and opportunities for improvement.
Ownership mentality, intellectual curiosity, and an ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Minimum of 10+ years of operational accounting in a global organization and related experience in managing the delivery of transformation programs.
Relevant systems experience: NetSuite, Coupa, FloQast, Navan, Workday, ADP
Strong background in Accounting; CPA preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field of study preferred.
For this role, the target base salary range in San Francisco, CA is $160,000-$200,000 annually. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. In general, our ranges reflect the market-based target for new hire salaries based on the level and location of the role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Turists will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
