Marketplace Strategy & Operations Manager
Turo
About the team
Turo is entering an exciting new chapter of growth in the US, and we are looking for a Marketplace Strategy & Operations Manager to increase the leverage of our Marketplace Management and US business teams. This role combines analytical capability with strong program execution. You will serve as a centralized operator who converts data into action, running end-to-end initiatives and providing the diagnostics needed to drive performance across our regional markets.
What you will do
Market Diagnostics & Analytics: Pull and manipulate data to identify drivers of underperformance and size new opportunities. You will be responsible for market-level insights and supporting the creation and evolution of the Weekly Business Review (WBR).
Program Execution: Run discrete initiatives end-to-end, moving from analysis to planning, execution, and measurement. You will coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure follow-through and impact on key business priorities.
Insight Generation & Recommendation: Build structured narratives and clear recommendations for regional leadership. You will support the team by framing problems, modeling tradeoffs, and preparing leadership-ready materials.
Scalable Central Tooling: Build simple shared tools, templates, and playbooks to reduce duplication across regions. You will help convert regional wins into scalable processes that can be deployed across the US.
Strategic Partnership: Serve as an analytical and strategic partner to regional teams, offloading synthesis tasks so GMs can focus on higher-order strategy
Your profile
5 - 7+ years of relevant experience (or 3 years + Master’s degree) in strategy, operations, analytics, or a related field.
Strong Analytical Toolkit: Advanced fluency in Google Sheets/Excel and SQL required.
Structured Thinking: Ability to break down ambiguous problems into actionable plans and guide others to clarity.
Execution Oriented: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects independently, from problem identification through to execution.
Communication: Skilled in building structured narratives and presentations; able to translate complex data into clear recommendations for leadership.
Commercial Acumen: Understanding of how strategic decisions influence the P&L, growth levers, and operational efficiency.
Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across functions and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
