About the team

Turo is entering an exciting new chapter of growth in the US, and we’re looking for a sharp, thoughtful and versatile Senior Strategy & Planning Manager to help us accelerate our momentum. This high-impact role will support company-wide planning efforts while taking the lead on shaping the end-to-end strategy for one of our key customer segments.

This role will collaborate closely with senior leaders across the business—including product, marketing, data, and finance—to drive strategic clarity, enable cross-functional alignment, and ensure execution is tightly linked to our most important customer and business goals.

You’ll thrive here if you enjoy untangling complex systems, solving ambiguous problems, and translating strategy into action across fast-moving, highly collaborative teams. It’s a high-impact role with strong visibility and influence.

What you will do

  • Segment-level strategy ownership - Own the strategic narrative and planning approach for one of Turo’s primary segments, operating with full autonomy to identify and solve complex problems.

  • Planning & roadmapping - Lead the end-to-end strategic planning cycle for your assigned domain, working with functional teams and leaders to define priorities, identify key initiatives, and map out sequenced roadmaps to support execution.

  • Cross-functional strategy & alignment - Act as the connective tissue between Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to drive a shared understanding of strategic trade-offs, sequencing, and risks, ensuring execution is tightly linked to top-level business goals.

  • Strategic performance reviews & insights - Synthesize complex insights across the business to inform leadership not only of performance versus targets, but also a clear diagnosis of why. Proactively identify why results are deviating and propose rigorous solution pathways to capture new growth opportunities.

  • Structured problem solving - Partner with cross-functional teams to untangle complex systems and define key business challenges. You will transform ambiguity into actionable plans and guide stakeholders toward clear, data-driven decisions.

  • Organizational effectiveness - Proactively identify and implement improvements to Turo’s planning, accountability, and reporting processes to elevate the overall performance culture and execution rigor.

Your profile

  • Excellent structured thinking and problem-solving ability—you can break down ambiguity into actionable plans and guide others to clarity

  • Skilled in building structured narratives and executive-ready presentations—your decks turn insights into action

  • Strong analytical toolkit—fluent in Excel/Sheets, comfortable with data tools (e.g. SQL in a requirement), and able to partner effectively with finance and analytics stakeholders

  • Commercial acumen—you understand how strategic decisions influence P&L, growth levers, and our cost base

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects independently, from problem identification through to execution

  • High attention to detail, with the ability to toggle between big picture and ground-level implementation

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment—you’re adaptable, self-directed, and always looking for ways to improve how things work

  • Curious, driven, and motivated to make a meaningful contribution to Turo’s mission

  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across levels, functions, and time zones

  • Demonstrates Turo’s values through work product and within day to day team interactions.

Education and Experience

  • 12+ years of overall professional experience (or 8+ years and a master’s degree)

  • Significant experience (5+ years preferred) in consulting, corporate strategy, product, finance, or operations, ideally within a high-growth tech or marketplace environment

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
