About the team

Turo is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Marketing Analytics team in San Francisco. This is a high-impact role for an intellectually curious and proactive analyst ready to become a thought partner to our Growth Marketing team. You will own our critical measurement models, translating complex data into the strategic recommendations that guide our multi-million dollar marketing portfolio.

What you will do

  • Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) Analysis: Serve as the analytical lead for our MMM program. You'll partner with our MarTech team to manage data pipelines, collaborate with our MMM vendor, and—most importantly—translate complex model outputs into clear, actionable insights on incrementality, channel effectiveness, and marketing ROI.

  • Shape Marketing Strategy & Budget: Go beyond reporting. You will develop data-driven budget allocation models, create forward-looking scenarios to forecast outcomes, and provide the analytical backbone for our most strategic marketing bets.

  • Lead the Marketing Experimentation Roadmap: Partner with channel owners to build and execute a robust roadmap of A/B and incrementality tests. You will own the measurement framework that validates our MMM findings and uncovers new optimization levers.

  • Spearhead Strategic Deep Dives: Proactively identify and investigate our most complex business questions. Your analyses will tackle everything from attribution discrepancies and channel saturation to customer lifetime value (LTV), uncovering new opportunities for growth.

  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with key stakeholders in Finance and Product to build a cohesive, data-driven narrative about marketing's impact on the business, ensuring we are all telling a unified story.

Your profile

Experience:

  • 3+ years in a marketing, growth, or product analytics role, preferably at a high-growth tech or marketplace company.

  • Direct experience working with the outputs of advanced measurement models (e.g., Marketing Mix Modeling, multi-touch attribution) to influence strategic decisions.

  • Proven track record of designing, executing, and analyzing marketing experiments (e.g., A/B tests, incrementality lift studies).

Skills:

  • Technical Toolkit: Advanced proficiency in SQL. Expertise in a data visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, Domo). Familiarity with Python for data analysis is a strong plus.

  • Analytical Mindset: You possess strong business acumen and are driven to find the "so what" behind the data.

  • Communication & Partnership: You excel at distilling complex topics for both technical and non-technical audiences. You build trust with stakeholders and operate as a true strategic partner.

  • Ownership Mentality: You are a proactive, self-starting problem solver who is comfortable with ambiguity and takes full ownership of your work from initial question to final recommendation.

For this role, the target base salary range in San Francisco is $124,000-$155,000 annually. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
