About the team
Join our People Operations team and play a vital role in creating exceptional employee experiences. As a People Operations Coordinator, you will be central to our HR operations, supporting our team through onboarding, data management, and addressing employee inquiries. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely onboarding processes, maintaining employee data in the HRIS (Workday), and providing exceptional service to employees regarding People-related inquiries. You will also support various People Ops projects and contribute to improving processes and procedures within the employee lifecycle. This position offers an opportunity to learn and grow in the HR field within a collaborative and supportive environment.
What you will do
Coordinate New Hire Orientation logistics and materials
Ensure all aspects of onboarding are completed accurately and timely, including pre-start communication with new hires
Conduct right-to-work checks and maintain work authorization forms
Manage and update employee data in the HRIS system (Workday) and ensure data accuracy
Maintain records for all workers
Perform data entry and data audits
Provide employees with exceptional service regarding all People-related inquiries through resolution accountability, aiming for a response time of within 24 hours
Perform operational tasks as needed, such as transactional processing and contract amendments
Document, implement, and work to improve processes, procedures, and programs relating to the employee lifecycle
Collaborate with the People Business Partner and/or Talent Acquisition Partner to support relocation requests
Support a variety of projects in partnership with the cross-functional People Ops team
Your profile
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
1+ years of experience in a human resources, administrative, or customer service role, OR equivalent relevant internship experience
Excellent customer service skills with a desire to provide helpful and timely support to employees
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Basic proficiency with Google Suite and MS Office Suite applications
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with team members and across departments
Self-motivated attitude with a collaborative spirit; a team player who is willing to learn and contribute
Bonus if you have
Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) or other database management is a plus
Familiarity with basic HR concepts and practices (e.g., onboarding, employee data management) is desirable
Interest in learning about the employee lifecycle and HR processes
Willingness to learn about cloud-based human resources applications (e.g., Workday, Lattice, Navex, Culture Amp)
Interest in learning about US, Canada, & Australia employment laws/regulations
For this role, the target base salary range in Phoenix is $45,000 - $51,000 annually. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. In general, our ranges reflect the market-based target for new hire salaries based on the level and location of the role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
