Who We Are Looking For:
The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the entire accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, streamlining AP workflows, and supporting the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a track record of implementing process improvements within AP functions.
What Will You Be Doing:
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, approval workflows, and payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of all invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
- Oversee the reconciliation of AP sub-ledger to the general ledger and month-end close activities.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to company policies related to procurement and expense management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, addressing inquiries and resolving disputes promptly.
- Negotiate payment terms and discounts to optimize cash flow.
- Maintain an updated vendor database, including W-9s and other compliance documentation.
- Evaluate current AP processes and systems, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Implement best practices for AP workflows, including digital invoicing and payment solutions.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure AP effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including sales tax and 1099 reporting.
- Prepare and present AP-related reports and analyses for management, providing insights into cash flow and spending trends.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support audits and other financial reporting requirements.
- Supervise and mentor AP team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide training and guidance on AP policies, systems, and procedures.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- 5+ years of accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience in the beauty, retail, or DTC industry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of AP best practices, GAAP, and relevant financial regulations. Familiarity with inventory and supply chain accounting is preferred.
- Familiarity with three-way match Trade Payables functionality and automation.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with AP automation tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with Corporate Card programs such as AMEX, Amex, Wells Fargo.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

The base pay range for this role is $85,00 - $92,000, with the following factors determining the base pay at offer: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Additionally, this role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
