Who We Are Looking For:
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational efficiency, and strong leadership skills to navigate the complexities of Thrive Causemetics’ supply chain. As a Senior Manager, Supply Chain, you play a pivotal role in optimizing our end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and to foster opportunities for cost savings and innovation
- Sustainable Sourcing: Incorporate sustainability into sourcing practices by selecting eco-friendly materials and working with suppliers who adhere to ethical practices
- Global Sourcing: Explore and evaluate global sourcing opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and develop strategic partnerships with key vendors to secure long-term benefits for both parties
- Negotiate Contracts: Secure favorable terms with suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and other necessary goods by leveraging volume and long-term relationships
- Supplier Selection: Identify and select suppliers based on criteria such as cost, quality, sustainability, and reliability
- Purchase Order Management: Oversee the creation, issuance, and management of purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's goals and market demands
- Capacity Planning: Ensure that production capacity meets the forecasted demand by planning the necessary resources and scheduling production runs efficiently
- Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks (e.g., supplier issues, logistics disruptions) and develop contingency plans
- Vendor Performance Metrics: Develop and manage a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) for evaluating vendor performance in areas such as delivery timeliness, quality, cost, and sustainability
- Continuous Improvement: Use scorecard data to identify areas for improvement and work with vendors to enhance performance and resolve issues
- Sales Forecasting: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand for products, taking into account seasonal trends, marketing campaigns, and new product launches
- Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability without overstocking, using demand forecasting and historical sales data
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., product development, marketing, finance) to ensure supply chain strategies support overall business objectives
- Communicate supply chain performance and challenges to the Leadership Team, providing insights and recommendations for improvements
- Lead, motivate, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, specifically within the beauty or personal care industry, with a proven track record in a managerial role
- Strong proficiency with Netsuite
- Extensive experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain strategy development, and vendor management
- Demonstrated ability in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
- Previous experience in implementing vendor scorecard systems and utilizing KPIs to measure performance
- Familiarity with global sourcing and sustainable sourcing practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing supply chain team
- Excellent strategic thinking capabilities to develop and implement effective supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills
- Proficient in risk management and capacity planning to anticipate and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions
- Strong financial acumen to manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Exceptional negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and manage procurement efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in using supply chain management software and technologies to enhance operational efficiency

The base pay range for this role is $135,000 - $150,000, with the following factors determining the base pay at offer: skills, qualifications, and experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Additionally, this role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
