Who We Are Looking For:
The Art Director will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the visual and creative direction of the Thrive Causemetics brand across a variety of channels. This includes digital platforms such as paid social media, CRM, SMS, E-Commerce, as well as traditional print media including direct mail and PR mailer inserts. Additionally, the role extends to consumer engagement activations, packaging design, event pop-ups, and potential retail spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of creativity, leadership, and strategic thinking, capable of delivering compelling visuals that resonate with our target audience and drive engagement and sales.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement innovative art and design strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement across various digital and traditional platforms.
  • Lead the creative process from concept development to execution, ensuring consistency and coherence of the brand’s visual identity.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and performance marketing teams to create visually compelling material that aligns with campaign objectives and brand values.
  • Direct the creation of digital content for paid social, CRM, SMS, and E-Commerce platforms, ensuring content is optimized for each channel.
  • Design and oversee production of print materials, including direct mail campaigns, and PR mailer inserts, that captivate and engage the target audience.
  • Conceptualize and design packaging that reflects the brand’s ethos and appeals to consumers, enhancing the unboxing experience.
  • Lead creative direction for consumer engagement activations, event pop-ups, and the conceptualization of potential retail spaces, ensuring a memorable brand experience.
  • Manage and mentor a team of designers, and other creative professionals, fostering an environment of creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in design and visual communication, continually integrating these into brand strategy.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related field
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in art direction, preferably in the beauty industry or related consumer goods sectors, preferably at a direct-to-consumer brand.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead creative projects across both digital and print media.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of projects, including digital content, print material, packaging design, and brand development.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with web design principles and content management systems.
  • Exceptional conceptual and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate marketing objectives into creative strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage creative professionals.
  • Passion for the beauty industry and a keen understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and brand positioning.

The base pay range for this role is $127,000 - $160,000, with the following factors determining the base pay at offer: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Additionally, this role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
