By making it easy to buy and sell secondhand, ThredUp has become one of the world's largest online resale platforms for apparel, shoes and accessories. About the Role

At ThredUp, Operations is where innovation meets action. We move fast, think big, and stay grounded in trust and fairness. Leadership here isn’t just about hitting KPIs—it’s about unlocking potential in others, driving change, and creating spaces where teams thrive. As the Senior Manager of Operations at DC07—our newest and most automated facility in Lancaster, TX—you will be the culture carrier for the building. You’ll lead with authenticity, clarity, and optimism, helping us build the most energized, high-performing team in our network.

We're looking for someone who inspires, connects, and builds trust. You'll deliver operational excellence, but your superpower is rallying people and making them better together. If you're energized by building leaders, navigating change, and creating a place where people love to work—this is your role.

Key Responsibilities:

Build & Develop Teams

  • Hire, grow, and retain high-performing exempt and non-exempt talent. Scale DC07 from ~250 to 800+ team members.

  • Set the tone on the floor every day—you’re visible, accessible, and deeply engaged. Be a culture carrier across the broader ThredUp network.

  • Build a deep bench by mentoring leaders and accelerating growth.

Lead Culture & People

  • Create a safe, empowering workplace where feedback is frequent and growth is both expected and celebrated. Encourage courageousness by being courageous.

  • Lead with fairness and consistency. Model transparency, integrity, and resilience.

  • Make DC07 a high performing team and a destination for great talent.

Delighting Our Customers

  • Ensure the DC consistently delivers accurate, timely, high-quality experiences for both buyers and sellers.

  • Embed our customer’s voice into daily operations to drive improvements.

  • Connect teams to the impact of their work, making the customer central to every shift, every process.

Operational Leadership

  • Drive productivity, accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction with a bias for innovation.

  • Partner with Engineering Teams to keep systems up and running. You’re on the floor observations make you the go-to-person when troubleshooting anything.

  • Be a force multiplier: simplify complexity, remove blockers, move fast—and stay agile in the face of change.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years leading in high-volume distribution, manufacturing, or related ops environments.

  • Proven success developing leaders and building engaged, high-performing teams.

  • Strength in navigating ambiguity and scaling organizations.

  • Comfort with warehouse, manufacturing and automated working environments.

  • A track record of leading with people-first values and delivering business results.

  • A presence on the floor—not behind glass.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary (we leverage market data)

  • Many ThredUp employees also have the opportunity to own shares of ThredUp stock and are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards

  • Employee stock purchase plan

  • Flexible PTO (take the time you need) + 13 company holidays

  • Paid Sabbatical after 3 years of full time employment

  • Generous paid parental leave for new mothers and fathers

  • Medical, dental, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance offered

  • We live by our Core Values of Transparency, SpeakingUP, Thinking Big, Infinite Learning, Influencing Outcomes & Seeking the Truth

We believe diversity, inclusion and belonging is key for our team

At ThredUp, our mission has been built on extending the lives of millions of unique clothing items. Much like our inventory, we are proud to have fostered a workplace that is one-of-a-kind. As a company focused on diversity, inclusion and belonging, we are committed to ensuring our employees are comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work every day. A unique perspective is critical to solving complex problems and inspiring a new generation to think secondhand first. Be you.
