How You Will Make An Impact

The Staff Product Manager will be a pivotal driver of company-wide mobile strategy at ThredUp. This role will report to the VP of Product and will oversee the mobile product roadmap, work closely with Engineering & Product Design to ensure high velocity execution of the roadmap, collaborate with Brand/Marketing for app adoption and engagement, and partner with Growth Marketing to drive mobile app acquisition efforts. With over half of ThredUp’s customers and revenue coming from the mobile apps, this role will be in a great position to generate a significant impact.

In This Role You’ll Get To:

  • Develop and Execute Mobile Strategy: Own and lead the mobile product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals and delivering a world-class mobile shopping experience. Continuously improve the mobile user experience, focusing on key metrics such as Monthly Active Users (MAU) and customer retention.

  • Drive Mobile Innovation: Maintain a balance between achieving near-term goals and fostering long-term innovation, always looking for new ways to enhance the mobile customer experience.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze data and conduct A/B tests to optimize performance and validate strategies, always questioning and refining the approach based on real-time metrics and customer feedback.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Brand/Marketing and Growth Marketing to drive app adoption, engagement, and acquisition efforts.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Leadership and Collaboration: Experience leading cross-functional teams and work effectively with stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Data Science, and Engineering.

  • Technical and Analytical Expertise: Strong background in product development with a focus on technical and analytics capabilities, managing complex product and engineering activities.

  • Customer focus: Deep empathy for customers, and strong product sense that is informed by research, data, and business fundamentals.

  • Quantitative and ROI-Driven: Demonstrated experience running quantitative, technical, and ROI-focused product or growth teams, with a track record of collaborating with Growth Marketing.

  • Mobile UX Experience: Deep understanding of mobile UX principles and proven results in driving a top-tier shopping experience.

  • Strategic and Agile Mindset: Experience weighing competing priorities, managing trade-offs, and evaluating new ideas while keeping the overarching business priorities in focus.

  • Curiosity and Tenacity: A natural curiosity and tenacity to explore new ideas and persist through challenges, coupled with the ability to quickly synthesize information and act decisively.

At ThredUp, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $200,000 and $235,000, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Many ThredUp employees also have the opportunity to own shares of ThredUp stock. ThredUp employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, as well as a discount when purchasing ThredUp stock if voluntarily participating in ThredUp’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Subject to eligibility requirements, you’ll also receive other benefits: Comprehensive medical & dental coverage, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
