How You Will Make An Impact
ThredUp is seeking a People Analytics and Insights Sr. Analyst who is passionate about using data to solve problems, deliver insights, tell stories and make an impact on employee experience and business outcomes. In this role, you will articulate and execute a clear vision and strategy for people analytics. You will share analytics and insights that are actionable, and valuable to move the business forward. Your insights will touch all areas of the employee lifecycle - employee selection, onboarding, performance, retention, growth, compensation and offboarding.
In This Role You’ll Get To:
Build relationships with key stakeholders and influence partners both departmentally and cross functionally through data-driven discussions.
Identify key business challenges and enable People and business leaders to make data driven decisions from the insights you uncover.
Create and execute a short and long-term roadmap for people analytics. Establish consistent methodology and alignment on data collection, definitions, metrics, and reporting across our systems and teams. Ensure data integrity and data security.
Owner of People Data: Enhance and refine analytics, dashboards and reports. Manage regular reporting on headcount, turnover, and talent acquisition metrics. Respond to data requests by delivering not just the numbers but the insightful stories contained within. Build compelling stories around People opportunities/initiatives/outcomes to help People Team and business leaders make optimal decisions. Ability to share the full picture by combining data from multiple sources.
Model cost of potential future programs around PTO, leave of absence, compensation, etc and feel confident recommending solutions to improve retention, employee satisfaction, etc.
Design, execute, and analyze employee surveys and responses, with a strong ability to develop strategic survey initiatives and translate results into actionable insights to improve employee experience.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of experience in People Analytics focused on data-driven decision making
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL and how data is stored in relational databases including joins and CTE's
Previous experience in HR as well as a strong understanding of the employee lifecycle from recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation cycles to offboarding
Experience with large-scale data management, data structures, and data schemas (i.e., relational database structures)
Strong analytic skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Passionate about AI and emerging technologies that empower the People Team to drive innovation and find efficiencies
Experience building tables in a cloud based solution (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server, AWS RDS)
Compensation analysis experience a plus
Workday experience preferred
