Job Description
How You Will Make An Impact
As a Senior Data Analyst- Operations, you will report to the Manager, Operations Analytics. You’ll be based at our Distribution Center (DC) in Lancaster, TX with a dotted line to the Senior Ops Manager. As the right hand to the Ops Manager supporting metrics/business performance needs, you’ll take on three main responsibilities as well as extended rotations for continued development.
In This Role You’ll Get To:
Own KPI reporting for the DC. Provide that first look at the DC each day that gauges smooth, steady performance or justifies a call to action
Unlock new insights. Uncover insights in our vast repository of data, and provide tactical guidance on how to act on findings
Be a Data Mentor to Your DC. Support stakeholders’ with leveling UP data knowledge to form a strong data culture at your location and on the Operations Analytics team
Participate in our knowledge-sharing culture. Connect with other team members to help spread best practices and learnings from prior experiences, boosting the effectiveness of the entire data team
Extended Rotations. These are an opportunity for life-long learning. Each team member will have a major collateral duty. These duties will be rotated regularly to develop you and provide fresh perspectives in each of the following domains: Supply & Demand Analytics, Data Platform & BI, Support Auxiliary Ops Teams, Ops Innovation Initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
Master’s Degree, preferably in statistics, economics, finance, or another quantitative field
5+ years of experience in an analytics role
Demonstrated knowledge of statistics, probability, and data modeling
Proficiency in R/Python and SQL
Strong spreadsheet proficiency
Ability to translate complex concepts into easily understood actions, both written and verbally
Experience successfully collaborating and managing cross-functionally (this role communicates up to the COO and down to operators on the floor)
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, comfortable in a fast-paced data-driven business environment with the ability to multitask
Innate curiosity and drive to find insights that unlock new growth or efficiency - you can’t help but dig in and seek the truth
At thredUP, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $107,000 and $133,000, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Many thredUP employees also have the opportunity to own shares of thredUP stock. thredUP employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, as well as a discount when purchasing thredUP stock if voluntarily participating in thredUP’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Subject to eligibility requirements, you’ll also receive other benefits: Comprehensive medical & dental coverage, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance.
