TeamSnap is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) interested in working in a fast-paced environment to help ensure the quality of our mobile and web applications. As an SDET at TeamSnap, you will work closely with our product and engineering teams to create test plans for new features, write automated test cases, and identify and report bugs to ensure that our applications meet high standards of quality and reliability. Our test automation stack includes Cypress, Jest, and Appium/TestNG. This role will directly report to the Quality Assurance Manager with cross functional stakeholders including Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience.
What You’ll Do:
Work closely with B2B and B2C product development teams to inform and influence work.
Write automated UI, API and E2E regression tests.
Maintain and evolve test automation frameworks.
Design and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases for new features.
Manually test new feature development utilizing test automation whenever possible.
Monitor production errors and debug test automation failures.
Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline.
Review and provide feedback on developer-written tests, including unit and integration tests.
Document test cases and create reusable regression scenarios for both manual and automated testing.
Manage test data across test automation frameworks.
Advocate for a quality focused culture by bringing testing to the core of your team’s processes.
Work closely with software developers and other QA engineers to analyze, debug and resolve issues.
What Will Set You Up for Success:
2+ years of relevant QA experience with mobile and web applications.
2+ years of experience writing automated test scripts.
Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript.
Strong knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of quality assurance testing and the ability to apply this knowledge and skills.
Experience conceiving and implementing new quality checks to improve the product development lifecycle.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Deep knowledge of agile delivery principles and supporting processes.
Bonus Points:
Experience with performance/load testing
Experience with Cypress
Desire to learn new technologies.

Compensation
We’re committed to equitable compensation for all TeamSnappers. The minimum starting point for this role is $97,000, inclusive of base and bonus, with comp updated based on multiple factors. Our comp is highly competitive in our space and we adjust overall comp based on relevant experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
🖥 Location
TeamSnap is a fully remote company, so you need to be very comfortable working with people who aren’t in the same time zone as you. We are always expanding, but there is a small list of states we do not hire in, including Alabama, Alaska, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, Rhode Island, South Dakota and West Virginia and while we love all parts of the world, we can only hire permanent US residents at this time.
