About the Job
As an IT Manager at Taulia, you will be a vital leader and contributor responsible for the hands-on management of our business IT systems, ensuring the reliability and performance of critical infrastructure that supports our global workforce. You will need deep expertise in networking, firewall management (ideally with experience on Palo Alto Networks), Windows Servers, Active Directory, OKTA, Google Workspace, and various Cloud SaaS solutions. As an IT Manager, you will lead a dynamic team spread across multiple locations, providing high-level support and ensuring that IT services meet the evolving needs of our business.
Responsibilities
IT Operations:
- Alongside the Director of Corporate IT, you will manage, maintain, and work to improve the company's IT infrastructure. This includes networking, firewalls, Windows Servers, Active Directory, OKTA, Google Workspace, and other Cloud SaaS platforms.
- Act as a hands-on technical expert, troubleshooting and resolving complex IT issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of IT systems to support Taulia’s global operations, with a focus on compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Oversee the daily operations of the IT support team, including monitoring system performance, conducting regular maintenance, and managing incident response.
Automation and Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to automate routine IT processes, reducing manual effort and enhancing the efficiency and consistency of service delivery.
- Lead initiatives to implement automation tools and technologies, streamlining workflows and improving the overall performance of IT operations.
- Continuously assess and optimize IT processes, ensuring they scale effectively with the growth of the business.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a geographically dispersed IT support team and direct reports in Sofia, London, Salt Lake City, and San Francisco, fostering a collaborative and proactive culture.
- Set clear performance expectations, establish key metrics, and regularly evaluate team performance to ensure high levels of productivity and service quality.
- Strategically scale the IT support team to meet the growing needs of the organization, ensuring the team structure and skills align with business objectives.
- Provide guidance and development opportunities for team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to support current and future business needs.
- Coordinate with the Director of Corporate IT to align team activities with broader organizational objectives, ensuring consistent and effective support across all locations.
Performance Management:
- Develop and implement performance metrics to track the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT team.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance service delivery.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on team performance, including response times, resolution rates, and customer satisfaction levels.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on performance metrics, ensuring the team meets or exceeds established goals.
Project Management:
- Drive IT projects from conception through implementation, ensuring that all initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with other departments to assess IT needs and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring that all contracted services meet performance and quality standards.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in IT technologies, particularly in networking, firewall management, and cloud services, and proactively recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures, ensuring that the IT support team is well-prepared for any scenario.
- Promote and implement IT best practices across the organization, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required
- 10+ years of experience in IT support or system administration, with at least 5 years in a management or team lead role.
- Strong hands-on experience with networking, enterprise firewall management (preferably Palo Alto Networks), Windows Servers, Active Directory, OKTA, Google Workspace, and many other cloud SaaS platforms.
- Proven ability to manage a geographically dispersed team, with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to set and achieve performance goals, utilizing metrics and data analysis to drive improvements.
- Demonstrated experience in automating IT processes and scaling IT teams to meet growing business demands.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure environment, with a flexible approach to working hours to meet the demands of a global business.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and act decisively.
- Experience working in a global company with a diverse workforce and understanding of the challenges related to supporting a 24x7 operation.

Compensation is based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to): skills, depth of work experience, certifications, geography, etc. Total compensation for this role includes a generous benefits program and annual performance bonus.
