About the Job

We are currently seeking an experienced Software Engineer to contribute elegant, maintainable reusable solutions centered around natural language models and prompt engineering. As an integral part of our engineering team, you will integrate GenAI capabilities with Taulia’s platform. You will use Groovy, Java, and Spring Boot to develop common services that handle prompt engineering, ensuring the response by the LLMs are accurate, responsible, and reliable and help our customers achieve their financial goals.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000 annually.


  • Design, build, and ship services integrating the latest AI technologies and solutions with Taulia’s distributed microservice architecture.
  • Be a champion on our engineering team to drive our AI technology adoption using our Groovy, Java ecosystem based on Gradle, Spring, Spring Boot, and Jersey.
  • Develop and deliver prompt engineering solutions, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Leverage industry-leading tactics to measure the effectiveness of AI products and iterate prompts and architecture for improvements based on customer feedback and data analysis.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI technology, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and maintain Taulia's competitive edge.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to define project requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality solutions.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required

  • Proven experience working as an individual contributor on large-scale, data-driven systems, preferably within a technology-driven company.
  • Strong technical background in software engineering, with expertise in prompt engineering methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience building customer-facing software that is successfully deployed to the cloud. You understand how to work within the constraints of large datasets, distributed transactions, and load without getting frustrated.
  • Experience with TDD methodologies and a good understanding of how to incorporate GenAI models into release pipelines ensuring the quality our customers expect.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java or a modern, object-oriented programming language with a solid understanding of a recent Spring Boot version.
  • Good understanding of microservices, including optimization strategies to reduce latencies and response times.
  • Working knowledge working with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies including Vector stores.
  • Familiarity with event and messaging-based architectures, and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with user data-driven improvement frameworks and technology
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and project management practices.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP Hana, SAP AI Core, and Joule.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.
