SUMMARY
The Manual QA Engineer is responsible for writing test cases, as well as functional testing and reporting defects and collaborating with the product team to ensure the highest quality standards are met. This position works closely with the Quality Engineering Manager and other team members to ensure SQUIRE products deliver exceptional user experiences.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write test cases based on project requirements and technical specifications
  • Report defects found during functional testing and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution
  • Collaborate with the product team to define test scenarios and ensure test coverage
  • Work closely with the Quality Engineering Manager to prioritize testing efforts and improve overall quality processes
  • Participate in agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintain documentation related to test cases, test plans, and test results

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of experience in manual software testing across web and mobile platforms
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies leveraged through the creation and completion of test plans, risk based analysis, and ad hoc test coverage
  • Act as a source of truth and quality from ideation, throughout development, and to the release of new features & improvements
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Proficiency with the following programs (Jira, TestRail, Android Studio, Postman, Charles Proxy, Proxyman, PostgreSQL)
  • English proficiency is a must - It's important you can communicate your ideas clearly as you will be interacting with English-speaking coworkers
  • Must be based in Buenos Aires
  • Availability to work full-time from Mon to Fri from 9 to 6 local time, and onsite from our office in CABA on Tuesdays and Thursdays
