The Role
We're seeking an exceptional VP of Strategic Alliances to architect and execute a transformational partnership strategy centered on strategic Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Technology infrastructure leaders, and cloud hyperscalers.
This new role is a high-impact executive role for a proven alliance leader who has successfully built and scaled software technology and cloud partnerships and driven measurable revenue outcomes through integrated co-sell programs. This role requires technology-focused skills and deep expertise in designing winning joint value propositions.
The VP, Strategic Alliances will be responsible for leading a team and driving the overall Alliance and Partner strategy at Outreach, including defining, building, and managing partnerships, unlocking partner funding, aligning joints GTM, co-selling and marketplace-driven pipeline that directly impacts company ARR growth.
This leader will report into our VP, Revenue Operations and will work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, customer success, and executive leadership to create a scalable alliance strategy and measurable results.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of forging and growing global and strategic partnerships, excellent executive presence, and the ability to influence both internally and externally at the highest levels.
Location: This position requires travel to customer locations and will need to reside near a large city hub.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include

  • Develop and execute the overall strategic alliances roadmap aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partners across technology, channel, consulting, and ecosystem landscapes.
  • Define joint value propositions that differentiate the company and drive revenue growth.
  • Negotiate, structure, and manage strategic partnership agreements.
  • Establish executive-level relationships with partner organizations.
  • Oversee joint business planning, including go-to-market strategies, co-selling initiatives, and co-marketing programs.
  • Drive partner enablement to ensure successful solution adoption and integration.
  • Deliver measurable outcomes from alliances, including pipeline development, revenue contribution, and market expansion.
  • Partner with sales leadership to drive execution of alliance-influenced opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs and ROI of partnerships.
  • Lead and grow a high-performing strategic alliances team.
  • Work with marketing to develop joint messaging, campaigns, and thought leadership.
  • Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to overall business strategy.

Our Vision Of You

  • 20+ years of experience in partnerships, alliances, business development, or related functions, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record negotiating and executing Strategic Collaboration Agreements with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud worth $5M+ annually in combined funding and credits
  • Deep expertise in cloud marketplace strategies (AWS Marketplace, Azure Marketplace, Google Cloud Marketplace) including private offers, CPPO/IP Co-Sell programs, and listing optimization
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable partner-sourced revenue, with experience scaling partner channels from <10% to 25%+ of total ARR
  • Demonstrated success building large-scale partnerships that drive significant revenue impact.
  • Strong executive presence and experience influencing at the C-suite level stakeholders at Hyperscalers, and Fortune 500 companies
  • Deep understanding of [insert relevant industry: SaaS, technology, healthcare, financial services, etc.].
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Track record of leading high-performing teams and scaling global partnerships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Compensation for this role is a mix of a base salary and a variable component. The total compensation will range between $343,000 - $400,000. You may also be offered incentive compensation, bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. Actual compensation is based on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. Final offers are determined through a holistic assessment and will vary within the posted range. Your Recruiter will share specific details based on your location and role during the hiring process.
