About The Team
We are looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented Senior Deal Desk Analyst to join our team. The deal desk team is a global team of 5 and we roll into the greater Finance organization. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Deal Desk.
The Role
The primary focus of this position will be to help structure profitable and compliant transactions that address the needs of a diverse set of internal corporate customers, maximize Outreach revenue, and increase the effectiveness and productivity of our sales success teams. The right person for this job has a team player approach, the ability to work across departments with disparate needs, excels at problem solving through critical analysis, and is challenged by process review and continuous improvement.
Location: This position is remote within the US, we have a preference for the PT time zone for this position.
Your Daily Adventures Will Include
- Providing business insight, pricing and product knowledge, as well as analytical support to Sales, including customer interaction
- Being a sales-facing subject matter expert on deal structuring, processes, and policies
- Cultivating and sustaining strong working relationships with pivotal business partners (e.g. Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, Legal, Support, etc.) to help facilitate the review and approval process
- Building and reviewing a variety of order forms with differing levels of complexity for accuracy, while ensuring all required approvals, such as discounts and contractual terms, are obtained and clearly documented as well as being fully compliant with Outreach's internal policies
- Assisting in delivering ongoing education and training to ensure Sales understanding of and compliance with all deal processes
- Safeguarding and managing data quality in SFDC for all proposed and closed quotes/deals, which includes but is not limited to: customer expansions, new deal logos, commission levels and deal amounts, ensuring that all transactions adhere to internal revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines
Our Vision Of You
- 4+ years of experience (Finance/Order Processing role, tech preferred)Demonstrated capability to build strong working relationships with internal business units
- Demonstrated participation in process improvement initiatives and/or project management experience
- Knowledge of Quote to Cash life cycle and understanding of SaaS (Software as a Service) pricing and licensing model a plus
- Ability to work without supervision in a fast-paced high-tech environment
- Experience in data analysis, modeling and/or financial analysis a plus
- Proficiency withSalesforce.com and MS Excel is required
- Experience with Zuora is a plus
- Experience in software revenue recognition accounting a plus
- Experience in structuring multi-element (subscriptions, services and support) contracts
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting or a similar discipline
