As a key member of the Accounting & Finance team, the Accounting Manager directly oversees the monthly close of the general ledger, preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting documentation performed by the accounting team. The Accounting Manager responsibilities and requirements are listed below:
What will you own?
- Key contributor to the month-end close
- Ensures GL accounts are properly supported and reconciled monthly
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly KPI tracking, reporting and analytics
- Lead external audits of the US group and foreign subsidiaries
- Maintain the company's system of accounts and records on all company transactions and assets
- Support compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate taxes and regulations
- Ensure the correct consolidation of company entities, including eliminations and recording of investments in subsidiaries
- Support the coordination of audit and the gathering of required audit information for the US GAAP consolidated audit
- Direct daily activities of team members or project scope of external partners, monitor deadlines and provide support and coaching where necessary
- Prepare reporting package which includes income statements, balance sheet, and cash flows
- Be a subject matter expert as it relates to specialized accounting topics
What you have:
- 5 years of financial accounting in a corporate environment
- 3 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor of accounting, finance or related field. CPA preferred
- IFRS and GAAP
- Accounting for foreign currencies
- MS Office Suite user, particularly Excel (formulas, functions, macros, queries, pivot tables)
- SAGE X3 Financials a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able/comfortable communicating across the organization
- Strong attention to detail, well-organized, solution-oriented
- Comfortable working against deadlines
