- Greet guests warmly, politely, and in a timely manner once seated. Speak to guests with enthusiasm at all times.
- Be prepared to answer questions about menu items and food preparation techniques, and be prepared to make suggestions about special menu items. Take advantage of opportunities to up-sell additional food and beverage items where appropriate.
- Answer questions from patrons about beverages and beverage service. Understand regulatory responsibilities regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
- Understand order-taking systems to be able to clearly, accurately, and quickly convey guest orders to the kitchen
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in an efficient manner, following appropriate table service techniques. Ensure that food is presented to diners as ordered and according to restaurant quality standards.
- Welcome customers upon arrival and promptly seat them, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve meals, and meet any special requirements or requests
- Accept correct payment from guests and guarantee the accuracy of the guest check and manner of payment to protect both the client and the business from any transaction mistakes
- Participate in pre-shift and department meetings to gain a thorough grasp of all products, services, and facility activities
- Perform all restocking and cleaning activities as directed, including opening and closing duties
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials so that you can respond to client questions and provide recommendations
- This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service
- Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
- Must be eligible to work in the United States of America
- Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED)
