We require an effective Leader who can produce innovative menus and recipes and oversee all food operations in our multi-venue operation. Our ideal candidate enjoys working the line as much as creating a new banquet menu. This position entails: recruiting, training, purchasing, menu development, costing menus, inventory control, Retail and Event Execution. - Work with vendors to secure the best items at cost-effective pricing, and manage department expenses that are within your direct control such as food, supplies, uniforms, and equipment
- Create new and unique menu items and specials using various ingredients in an innovative way
- Teach recruits and hire staff that suit the business culture to provide a welcoming atmosphere for kitchen employees
- Ensure that all food preparation, including processes, portioning, and garnishing, is well supervised, and confirm that the finished dishes are visually appealing
- Set and monitor performance criteria for team members, as well as provide advice and direction to support and maintain an efficient kitchen
- Understanding and compliance with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage
- Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers
- Must have 7-8 years of culinary experience for this role
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading, motivating, and developing a team
- Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
