- Actively engage in pre-shift and department meetings to get a thorough knowledge of all goods, services, and facility operations
- Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed
- Establish a full knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to respond to client inquiries and make recommendations
- Accept correct payment from guests and guarantee the accuracy of the guest check and manner of payment to protect both the client and the business from any transaction mistakes
- Promptly seat guests when they arrive, take food and beverage orders, serve meals on time while accommodating any special requests
- Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
- Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED)
- Previous experience working in food service is preferred
- Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills
