- Work on the interior and the exterior of the property to ensure proper maintenance
- Complete guestroom work orders in a prompt and efficient manner
- Perform repairs on heating, cooling, and plumbing
- Respond quickly and professionally to guests needs
- Perform painting tasks, including patching drywall, caulking, and cosmetic touch-ups
- Deliver and/or remove furnishings from rooms as needed
- Routinely participate in preventative maintenance programs
- Complete daily assigned responsibilities and provide guests with excellent customer service
- The candidate will spend 70-80% of the scheduled time at the "home" property, with the remainder divided between two other properties located close by
- Manage other maintenance requests as required
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks
- Examine building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs when needed
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and electrical wiring to ensure optimal performance and make any repairs
- Keep a record of completed repairs and when equipment was last serviced
- Must be able to travel short distances to pick up supplies and service other properties in the assigned areas
- Previous hotel/building experience a plus
- Able to take direction and work efficiently with minimum supervision
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems
- Must be able to demonstrate advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques and procedures
- Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends
- Superb attention to detail, work ethic, and communication skills
