POSITION SUMMARY

EarnIn seeks an experienced Sr. Software Engineering Manager for our Product Development organization. The base salary range for this full-time position is $252,000 - $308,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This hybrid position requires in-person work from our Mountain View HQ 2 days a week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work with the leadership across EarnIn to deliver our mission: build a financial system that works for everyday people.
  • Be a strong partner to product and other engineering teams to launch new products.
  • Create a roadmap and drive its implementation with your teams across the company.
  • You make sound and balanced decisions when evaluating solutions for scrappiness, speed to market, engineering excellence, and long-term maintainability, ensuring that short-term gains do not come at the cost of future scalability and stability.
  • You navigate uncertainty with poise and drive towards clarity.
  • Dig into the code when required! You should be technical enough to help your team with issues requiring senior guidance
  • Recruit other great engineers for your team and help in the recruiting efforts for other teams.
  • Be a mentor and coach for the engineers in your team and help them advance their careers by enabling them to do the best work of their lives
  • Provide technical leadership to developers in your team and the engineering organization.
  • Manage cross-functional relationships with all teams to deliver high-quality products.s
  • Support the team in maintaining a robust level of stability while continuing to execute at great speed.
  • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives at EarnIn.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience
  • 10+ years of development experience in software development, with at least 2+ years in a management capacity
  • You have built and managed a team of 4 or more engineers that regularly created high-quality output rapidly.
  • You are a creative, tenacious problem solver with a get-it-done attitude
  • You can work comfortably with a cross-functional team made up of PMs, Analysts, and both mobile and back-end-focused engineers
  • You tend to be the standard bearer who takes a great deal of pride in your work and can inspire others to rise to the occasion
  • You can create and maintain a positive, healthy team environment in which everyone is supported, encouraged, and meaningfully challenged to do great work
  • You are a software engineer who became a manager because you are great with people, and you want to expand what you can achieve while helping others grow in their careers
  • You are ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work on a technical challenge
