Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile device management (MDM), device trust, and zero trust security principles, as well as experience with VPNs and networking.
This is a remote position.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for supporting our organization's mobile devices
- Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect our data and systems
- Configuring and managing MacOS and Windows operating systems, MDM platforms such as JAMF Pro, Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace One, and SaaS application user management
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential for this role
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively is a must.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of relevant IT Support experience working on a Help Desk handling systems, provisional access, MDM (mobile device management), VPN, and networking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills and ability to serve as the first point of contact for technical assistance over Slack, email, phone, and web conference
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner, and follow up with users to ensure full resolution
- Experience with Mac and Windows operating systems, MDM platforms such as JAMF Pro, Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace One, and SaaS application user management
- Experience with SSO solutions such as Okta
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, GitHub, and Zoom, as well as endpoint security solutions
- Familiarity with Jira project management and service desk platform
- Experience with new hire onboarding and employee off-boarding, including account creation/deletion, access provisioning/de-provisioning, and laptop provisioning/de-provisioning
- Ability to train users on help desk processes, including IT and security policies and practices
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to consider the big picture and consequences during decision-making process
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and willingness to learn and develop technical and soft skills
- Understanding of the importance of documentation
