Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile device management (MDM), device trust, and zero trust security principles, as well as experience with VPNs and networking.

This is a remote position.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for supporting our organization's mobile devices
  • Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect our data and systems
  • Configuring and managing MacOS and Windows operating systems, MDM platforms such as JAMF Pro, Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace One, and SaaS application user management
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential for this role
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively is a must.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of relevant IT Support experience working on a Help Desk handling systems, provisional access, MDM (mobile device management), VPN, and networking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to serve as the first point of contact for technical assistance over Slack, email, phone, and web conference
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner, and follow up with users to ensure full resolution
  • Experience with Mac and Windows operating systems, MDM platforms such as JAMF Pro, Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace One, and SaaS application user management
  • Experience with SSO solutions such as Okta
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, GitHub, and Zoom, as well as endpoint security solutions
  • Familiarity with Jira project management and service desk platform
  • Experience with new hire onboarding and employee off-boarding, including account creation/deletion, access provisioning/de-provisioning, and laptop provisioning/de-provisioning
  • Ability to train users on help desk processes, including IT and security policies and practices
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to consider the big picture and consequences during decision-making process
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and willingness to learn and develop technical and soft skills
  • Understanding of the importance of documentation
