The Role
The Deal Desk Analyst serves as a trusted advisor to the Sales team, providing expert guidance on deal structuring, pricing, and commercial terms. This role is crucial for ensuring that sales transactions are structured in compliance with company policies, maximize profitability, and facilitate an efficient sales cycle. You will act as a critical link between Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations to drive seamless business velocity.
What You’ll Do
- Deal Structuring & Review: Review and approve complex proposals, quotes, and contracts. Ensure adherence to pricing guidelines and discount matrices while providing guidance on non-standard, multi-year, or custom commercial terms.
- Pricing & Profitability: Manage and maintain the company price list and discount structures. Conduct profitability analysis, identify risks, and recommend alternative deal structures based on data trends.
- Process & Tools: Administer and manage the Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) system and CRM tools. Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce deal turnaround time.
- Training & Support: Develop and deliver training to the Sales team on pricing policies and CPQ usage. Serve as the primary point of contact for sales inquiries related to contracts and operations.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure all transactions comply with regulatory and internal audit requirements. Partner with Legal to standardize contract terms and minimize corporate exposure.
What You Bring
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Finance, or analytical role within a SaaS or technology company.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency with CRM (Salesforce) and CPQ tools. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for data analysis are preferred.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of sales processes, contract management, and pricing models. Familiarity with revenue recognition principles (e.g., ASC 606/IFRS 15) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple complex projects and meet tight deadlines in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 CAD per year.
- Note: Final compensation is determined by factors including experience, geography, and skills.
