About the Role
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a cornerstone of our technical operations. This role goes far beyond “keeping the lights on.” You will design, build, automate, and secure the cloud infrastructure that powers our SaaS platform while helping advance our DevSecOps and SRE practices.
You will partner closely with engineering teams to deliver self-service tooling, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and automate every part of the infrastructure lifecycle. If you are passionate about scalability, reliability, and building secure-by-default environments, this role is for you.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer with 2–5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, SRE, or senior-level DevOps.
What You’ll Do
- Design & Build: Architect, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code.
- Automate Everything: Enhance and maintain our IaC stack (Terraform, CloudFormation) across networking, compute, storage, and platform services.
- Champion DevSecOps: Embed security best practices into our CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure - managing IAM, VPC security, WAF rules, policies, and scanning tools.
- Ensure Reliability (SRE): Define and manage SLOs/SLIs. Build and evolve our observability frameworks across metrics, logs, and tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, CloudWatch).
- Own Cloud Networking: Manage and optimize VPC architecture, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway, load balancers, firewalls, and DNS (Route 53).
- Support CI/CD: Partner with developers to create robust, automated pipelines enabling fast, reliable, and safe deployments.
- Troubleshoot & Optimize: Serve as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues. Lead performance tuning, cost optimization, and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Participate in On-Call: Join a scheduled rotation to respond to critical infrastructure incidents.
What You Bring
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5+ years in infrastructure engineering, SRE, or DevOps.
- Deep AWS expertise across core services: VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Route 53, EKS/ECS, Lambda.
- Strong Terraform proficiency (demonstrable experience required).
- Hands-on production experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
- DevSecOps mindset with experience implementing security controls and tooling within cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, load balancing, cloud networking architecture.
- Observability experience with Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or CloudWatch.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
- Ability and desire to work with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Nice-to-Haves
- AWS Professional certifications (Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Pro).
- Experience in regulated environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Service mesh or chaos engineering exposure (Istio, Linkerd).
- Database administration experience (PostgreSQL, Redis).
