Cohesity is expanding our APJ Tax Team and looking for a Tax Accountant who thrives on collaboration, precision, and transformation. You’ll work closely with our Senior Tax Manager and Finance teams across the region to deliver world-class tax compliance and reporting while contributing to exciting global projects, AI-driven tax automation, and post-merger integration following Cohesity’s acquisition of Veritas’ Data Protection business.

If you have a passion for tax, technology, and teamwork, this is your opportunity to help shape Cohesity’s next chapter across Asia Pacific and Japan. You’ll partner cross functionally with Controllership, FP&A, legal, etc to ensure alignment across all tax and finance processes in the region.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

1. Direct Tax Compliance

  • Prepare, review, and coordinate corporate income tax returns for APJ subsidiaries (e.g., Singapore, Australia, Japan, Korea, India, Hong Kong, Malaysia, etc.).

  • Support withholding tax, and other direct tax filings, ensuring timely submission and payment.

  • Maintain compliance calendars and assist in managing local tax audits and queries.

  • Coordinate with external advisors, statutory auditors, and local controllers to ensure accurate and compliant filings and ensure documentation is properly maintained for audit and compliance purposes.

2. Tax Reporting (US GAAP & Local GAAP)

  • Support quarterly and year-end tax provision processes under US GAAP, including preparation of tax workpapers, deferred tax calculations, and tax account reconciliations.

  • Assist in preparing statutory tax computations and disclosures for local financial statements.

  • Collaborate with controllership to ensure proper tax journal entries and closing processes are aligned with group reporting timelines.

3. Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Matters

  • Liaise with Global Tax and advisors to ensure local transfer pricing policies are implemented and compliant with OECD and local rules.

  • Support responses to transfer pricing audits and tax authority queries.

4. Tax Process, ERP & Transformation Initiatives

  • Participate in process standardization and internal control improvements across APJ entities.

  • Support the implementation of AI-enabled analytics and process digitization to enhance tax reporting and data governance

  • Develop and maintain internal documentation and process controls aligned with SOX standards

  • Conduct tax research and draft internal memos to support tax positions and ad hoc advisory projects.

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a US multinational or Big 4 firm.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

  • Professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred.

  • Strong understanding of corporate income tax, tax controversy and transfer pricing.

  • Hands-on experience with tax accounting, reporting, and audit support.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle); familiarity with Coupa, Workday, SharePoint, or Concur a plus.

  • Curiosity and aptitude for automation and AI tools that streamline tax processes.

  • Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous (This role will also support the CN/TW/HK market).

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.

  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast paced, cross cultural environment and takes ownership to deliver results.
