We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team here at Cohesity. This is a perfect position for someone who is passionate about providing dedicated financial analysis and planning support to our Product Management and Hardware teams. This role will provide financial expertise, analytical support, and financial leadership to help influence key business decisions. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Product Finance.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasting and budgeting processes
Support the month/quarter end close activities and reporting processes, accruals, close/forecast packages, and variance analysis with clear explanations for financial results
Present monthly forecast readouts to senior leadership
Build strong relationships with business partners to determine their reporting needs and support their growth initiatives
Develop financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, cost initiatives, and process improvements
Build out new and improve existing finance processes to ensure data integrity and efficient analyses
Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities
WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
Advanced skills in Excel and other financial planning and forecasting tools. Familiarity with Adaptive Insights and Netsuite tools are a plus.
Solid overall business acumen including accounting/financial experience
Familiarity supporting a hardware business and experience with cost of good sold financial analysis
Advanced financial modeling skills with experience taking abstract ideas to create actionable financial models
A curiosity to learn and take initiative to solve problems independently
Strong critical thinking, organizational, interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain financial data to non-finance leaders
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet firm deadlines is a must
Must have great problem-solving skills, be a self-starter, understand business issues and be able to clearly and concisely put together recommendations and implementation plans

YOUR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required.
MBA or equivalent degree a plus.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a high growth technology company

Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants.
