About the Role:
We’re looking for an email deliverability specialist with 8+ years experience who can keep inbox placement high while scaling sending across thousands of domains and a wide range of customer volumes. This is an operator + strategist role: you’ll build systems, guardrails, and playbooks that protect sender reputation and maximize inboxing.
What You’ll Do:
- Own inbox placement outcomes: improve inbox rate, reduce spam placement, and control complaints/bounces across major mailbox providers (Gmail, Microsoft, Yahoo, Apple, etc.).
- Manage a domain fleet at scale: onboarding, authentication, warm-up, ramp plans, rotation/sunsetting, and reputation recovery across thousands of sending domains.
- Build automated guardrails: risk scoring, throttling rules, anomaly detection, suppression logic, segmentation, and safe volume ramping to protect platform reputation.
- Lead authentication strategy: SPF, DKIM, DMARC (alignment + reporting) and deliverability-friendly configuration standards.
- Guide sending infrastructure strategy: shared vs dedicated pools, IP/domain warm-up, provider-specific pacing, and blocklist remediation.
- Partner cross-functionally: work with Engineering/Product/Sales/CS to turn deliverability into a platform advantage; handle escalations with clear, data-driven fixes.

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven track record improving deliverability for high-volume sending and/or multi-tenant platforms.
- Deep understanding of reputation mechanics, mailbox provider behavior, and deliverability troubleshooting.
- Hands-on expertise with SPF/DKIM/DMARC, bounce/complaint handling, list hygiene, and warm-up/ramp strategy.
- Strong analytical + communication skills—you can translate complex signals into simple actions.
- Experience with Postmaster tooling (e.g., provider dashboards), feedback loops (FBLs), and blocklist investigation/remediation.
- Built deliverability automation (policy engines, risk scoring, throttling systems) or worked closely with
- MTA/sending architecture.
- You’ll be measured on one thing: more messages landing in the inbox—safely, consistently, and at scale.
