Workforce Identity Cloud

Okta Workforce Identity Cloud (WIC) provides easy, secure access for your workforce so you can focus on other strategic priorities—like reducing costs, and doing more for your customers.

As Product Lab Manager, you will be tasked with building and maintaining a lab environment that will be used to test and demonstrate various use cases around Identity and Access Management.  In this hands-on role, you will build integrations to help the Product Management teams evaluate competing products to help find opportunities for Okta to deliver best of class solutions.  

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hands-on technical resource who has broad experience across hardware and software.  

 What you’ll be doing 

• Build & maintain various lab environments.
• Consult with Product teams to collect requirements to design & implement the lab solutions.
• Help determine budgeting for equipment, cloud, software and assembly costs
• Maintaining existing software and hardware in the lab and upgrade any that have become obsolete
• Provide network administration and support of various lab environments
• Perform hands on technical implementation and troubleshooting.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Facilitates effective team interaction between teams across the globe (e.g. India, USA)
• Communicates effectively across a global team.
• Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Uses active listening skills to figure out and understand business goals, objectives and priorities.

What you’ll bring to the role

• Knowledgeable in Identity & Access Management and Okta product offerings. 
• Working knowledge of Identity protocols (e.g. SAML, OAuth, OpenID, SCIM)
• Able to install and configure desktops and servers on both hardware and virtual machines (Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS, Linux)
• Configure and manage mobile devices (iOS, iPadOS, Android)
• Experience with Endpoint Management systems (SCCM, Intune, Jamf , VMware Workspace One)
• Knowledge of basic windows server administration (DNS, Networking, File Services, DHCP)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Solutions: Active Directory, AD Certificate Services, AD Federated Services, Azure AD (Entra Identity), Azure AD Domain Services
• Ability to manage networks on-prem: Subnets, VPNs, Firewalls
• Working Knowledge of Cloud based networking: Google VPC, AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Networking
• Some knowledge of other cloud identity solutions such as: Ping, Forgerock, Jumpcloud, Google Cloud Identity, AWS Identity Services, etc.
• Ability to Multi-task and manage multiple concurrent engagements.
