The above salary range includes base salary + variable compensation (if applicable. Apollo also offers equity, and benefits. Dental and Vision benefits are provided by Sun Life Financial.
Location: This is a remote position that can be done from anywhere in the US or Canada, working PST or CST hours.

As a Senior Staff Brand Designer, you'll be the strategic brand leader at Apollo, owning our complete visual identity and brand presence to become the amongst the most trusted names among builders and platform engineers. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for a builder - someone who combines strategic brand leadership with exceptional design execution.
You'll work as a strategic partner with Marketing leadership while driving Apollo's brand evolution. Your role bridges the gap between product and marketing, ensuring cohesive brand experiences across all customer touchpoints. You'll have the autonomy to shape our brand strategy while collaborating with director-level stakeholders across the organization.
This is an opportunity to be the brand design leader at a scaling company. You'll own vendor relationships, drive strategic brand initiatives, and influence company-wide design decisions while crafting compelling experiences that resonate with developers.
We're looking for a builder - someone who thrives on rolling up their sleeves to execute exceptional work while simultaneously thinking strategically about brand positioning and market evolution. You'll need to deliver compelling visual impact immediately while building a brand foundation that scales with our growth.
What You'll Do
Own Apollo's brand strategy and visual direction, delivering immediate impact while building for the future
Position Apollo's brand as industry reference point - establish Apollo as the industry leader that other companies reference and aspire to emulate
Drive brand consistency between product and marketing experiences, creating unified customer journeys
Lead strategic brand initiatives and major campaign development with Marketing leadership as a peer collaborator
Execute with exceptional craft - from strategic concepting to beautifully finished assets
Create and oversee visual assets for marketing campaigns, web experiences, conference materials, and experiential marketing
Build comprehensive brand systems that scale while maintaining the highest quality standards
Craft visual narratives that communicate Apollo's story to technical and business audiences
Partner with Product Design to ensure seamless brand integration across product experiences
Work with Engineering teams to implement brand systems and maintain technical feasibility
Manage creative agency relationships and external vendor partnerships with full budget authority
Partner with executive stakeholders and contribute to high-level strategic discussions
Who You Are
You're a hands-on maker who loves getting into the details and delivering work with exceptional craft
You're a strategic visionary who can anticipate market evolution and position brands ahead of trends
You have 8-12+ years of brand design experience, with a mix of agency and in-house background
You have strategic brand leadership experience and have driven company-wide brand initiatives
You understand developer culture authentically - you know what resonates vs. what feels forced
You're comfortable working with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams in cross-functional collaboration
You have vendor management experience and have successfully managed creative agencies and external partners
You have expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and modern design tools such as Lovable, v0, or other
You have design systems thinking and experience building scalable brand systems
You have a builder mentality and thrive on evolving established brands while measuring design impact
You want to help establish Apollo as the industry leader and reference point among builders - the company developers naturally mention when discussing best-in-class developer tools
